Update: 11:30 pm: Flood Warnings: Thunder storm over Balochistan continuously given heavy downpour in many parts since morning, more shower expected in next 24 hours which may cause flash flooding in different parts of Balochistan including in Sibbi, Bolan, Dera Bugti, Naseerabad, Jhalmagsi and Khuzdar districts.


Update: 8:30 pm: Monsoon Intensified: Raining in Islamabad, Rawalpindi,Peshawar, Wah, Kohat, Noshera, Attock, Abottabad, Mardan, Kohat, Gujar Khan, Qila Saifullah, Barkhan, Harnai, Sibi and in other adjoining parts of Upper Punjab, KPK and in Balochistan. Southern parts of country will get some good showers during this weekend including in Karachi.

29 July 2013 Monsoon Updates:
Monsoon Analysis & Devlopments: Latest images showing that  thunderstorm is now weakening over in Rajasthan (jaipur) - India, weak high level clouds reaching and continuously forming in most of the parts of Sindh and in lower Balochistan, thunderstorm formed in central Balochistan and in Punjab and Azad Kashmir border line (North of Islamabad). 

New spell of monsoon expected to reaching in upper Pakistan, most of the upper parts from tonight/tomorrow and would get moderate/heavy rainfalls, including in Upper Punjab (Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree), KPK (including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Manshera, Noshera) and Kashmir from today till 1st week of August. Unexpected daily moderate/heavy rainfall expected in Balochistan till next week including in Quetta. 

Update for Sindh: Mostly cloudy/Partly with some Drizzle/light shower condition for Sindh during next 24 hours while SE of Sindh will get some more PM showers. Partly cloudy/Drizzle condition with SW wind expected in Karachi.

Update for Punjab:  From today till 1st week of August mostly cloudy condition for upper Punjab with moderate to heavy rainfall expecting in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala, while light rain may also occur at isolated place of south Punjab on Tomorrow till Wednesday.

Update for KPK: Chances of Rain shower in some parts of KPK including Peshawar, Nohshera, Mardan during next 24 hours.

Update for Baluchistan: Unexpected daily moderate/heavy rainfall expected in Balochistan till next week including in Quetta, Vinder ,Bela ,Uthal, Kalat, Lasbela and other central, eastern and northern parts.

Update for Gilgit Baltistan: Moderate/heavy  Rain expected at isolated parts of Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir by tomorrow.

During last 24 hours, rainfall occurred at isolated places of upper Punjab, major parts of central and lower Balochistan including in Lasbela district (Bela, Uthal), Hingol Mountains, Hub,Awaran and in other adjoining parts, mostly moderate showers recorded in lower Sindh including Karachi, Nagarparkar, Thar, Badin while upper parts of Sindh got drizzle.

Now thunderstorm is weakening and moving away from Karachi. Lightning with thunder cause in Nawabshah and Moro and other parts of Sindh by Weak Thunder clouds. Isolated shower expected tonight/tomorrow in SE and some upper parts of Sindh, while lower and Central Sindh including Karachi, Dadu, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Nagerparker, Umerkot ,Tharparker, Hyderabad, Rohri, Moro, Larkana would get some light/moderate shower during Sun/Mon/Tuesday if conditions remain the same.

Latest images showing that, Huge storm reached in south Punjab. Rain occurred in upper Punjab (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala), Multan, Rahim yar khan and other parts of south Punjab. Another T-storm present in province Sindh, rain occurring in Umerkot, Thar district, Sukker and other adjoining parts.

Current update: Multiple image showing, Thunder clouds are reaching in South Eastern parts of Sindh including Thar district from Gujrat (India). Light rain Reported in Nagerparker, Umerkot , Tharparker and other parts. High level clouds in other parts of Sindh and in Eastern Punjab.

Monsoon Analysis & Devlopments:
 5th spell of monsoon reached in North Pakistan, most of the upper parts got moderate/heavy rainfalls as per pmd reading,  More chances of 5th spell Monsoon rain showers in Upper areas with isolated  "moderate to heavy" falls including in Upper Punjab (including Islamabad,Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree), KPK (including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Manshera, Noshera) and Kashmir during next 24 hours. It is also expecting that 5th spell of monsoon become weaker after given rain in next 24-36 hours.

Two monsoon systems are developing over in Gujarat - the off-shore trough from Gujarat coastline  to Kerala coastline  and therefore the UAC (Upper air cyclonic circulation) over in Saurashtra, Kutch and their adjoining areas of North-East Arabian Sea up to middle troposphere level. 

This time and after long time good news is now looking for southern Pakistan as latest latest development, models and information, 6th spell of monsoon will reach into upper/central/south Punjab and Sindh, KPK and Kashmir from this weekend.

21 July 2013 Monsoon Updates:
SE parts of Balochistan griped by high-level clouds. "4th" spell of Monsoon for upper Pakistan weakens/dissipated today after given heavy rain showers in upper areas, No major activity happened today. Isolated light/moderate showers may occur in Kashmir, Upper Punjab and some parts of KPK during next 24 hours. Central parts of Balochistan has a chance of light/moderate showers due to western disturbance from tomorrow till few days.

As per our forecast, the spate of torrential rain with thunder and lighting continued lashing upper Punjab, Khyber Pukhtunkhaw and Kashmir. Islamabad ( Saidpur ) received 217 millimeter of rain, while Lahore, Gujranawala, Sialkot and some other places recorded more than 100mm..

Mostly looks clear as per image, Isolated weak thunderstorms formed in Northern parts of country while some high level clouds reaching to Sindh including Karachi from Pak-Indian borderline. Light shower (2mm) occurred in major parts of Karachi city with some Moderate drops in this early morning including the areas Clifton ,Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel Town,Airport , Gulshan e Iqbal, FB Area, Mosumiyat and Safoora Chowrangi. Another "4th" raining spell of Monsoon season is coming towards Punjab,KPK,Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and Sindh with their "Moderate to Heavy" intensity, which would started from Sat/Sun till July 22/23.

High-level weak clouds over most in Eastern Punjab, thunder clouds reaching towards South Eastern Punjab through Indian state. Isolated Weak thunderstorms present in SW and NE parts of Balochistan. After many days more than 2.1 mm of rainfall occurred in Karachi city. Southern and South Western parts of city receive light shower while E & W parts just received drizzle in early morning..

13 July 2013 Monsoon Updates:
Update 11:00 pm - Breaking: Drizzle with big drops started again in different areas of Karachi. Reports of moderate shower coming from Mosumiyat and Safoora Chowrangi.

Update 9:25 pm :Light rain with thunder lightning in Hyderabad, Jamshoro and it's adjoining areas. For Karachi‬: Chances (40-50%) of isolated shower tonight or early morning with fast winds for NE side of the city.

Update 7:20 pm : Big thunderstorm entered in major parts of province Sindh, raining occurring in these areas where thunder storm reached, Light rain occurred today in Karachi while Nawabshah,Thatta and Thar got moderate to Heavy showers.


Update 5:45 am - Breaking: Raining in Thatta and also some parts of Karachi city. Thunderstorm moving towards Karachi.

10 July 2013 Monsoon Updates:
Update: 11:30 pm: Mostly look clear in latest image, some high-level clouds in North of country. Formation of local thunderstorm has been started near in Quetta. Rain shower occurred mostly in upper parts of country including the twin cites today, highest amount that is 95 mm of rainfall recorded in Gujranwala during last 24 hours. 3rd monsoon spell would start from Friday in Northern areas,KPK, Balochistan, Punjab with "moderate to heavy" shower. There are also good chances for Sindh this time..

Sialkot got 80 mm of highest rain in country during last 24 hour..!!

5 july 2013 Monsoon Updates:




Mostly dry with hot weather condition is continues in major parts of country. Satellite weather images show that the thunderstorm activity present in area of north Sindh. During last evening Mirpurkhas got 22 mm of rain. 
Chances of another monsoon spell which would expected to reach during next 24 hours in Punjab  (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Wah, Gujrat, Sialkot, Lahore,Multan), Kashmir and KPK. During this fresh spell most of the parts of North Punjab,KPK ( Peshawar, Noshera, Attock, Mardan) ,Gigit Baltistan and Kashmir would get "moderate to heavy" rain shower with fast winds which may cause flash flooding in rainy areas.

Raining occurred in Umerkot, Badin, khipro, Mirpurkhas and adjoining areas. Media official says one killed and 4 injured in Mirpurkhas during rain showers incident. Now Huge Thunder-storm is weakening no more falls expected tonight. Chances of rain again tomorrow in central and NE parts of Sindh including Thar, Dadu, Sanghar, Shahpurchakar, Ghotki, Khairpur, Umerkot. Less chances for Karachi with 20-40% .

A western disturbance is also affecting northern parts of the country and expected to persist during next 24 hours. Passing clouds over the region of Karachi causing the drizzle and cloudy weather.

According to latest image, heavy thunderstorm present in western parts of Punjab, east of khyber pakhtunkhwa and another weak T-storm in central Balochistan. Heavy falls occurring in Lahore and other adjoining parts, while Drizzle continue in major parts of Karachi including Clifton, FB Area, DHA, Gulshan, Gulistan-e-Johar, Saddar.

28 June 2013 Monsoon Update:

Updated 11:20pm (PKT)Intermittent rain and thunder shower occurred in Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Thursday night, Light Drizzle/rain occurred in Karachi during last night and in early Friday's morning from passing clouds.

According to the latest image, Currently thunderstorms present in central Baluchistan and in central parts of  Punjab. Chances of thunderstorm rain with fast winds in Upper Parts of Pakistan with their intensity "moderate to heavy" including in Upper Punjab (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore), KPK ( Peshawar, Noshera, Attock) and Kashmir during next 24 hours till 72 hours. 

Flash Flood Warnings: Widespread showers may cause urban flooding during next 24-72 hours in some parts of Upper Punjab, KPK including these areas Attock, Jehlum, Texila, Mardan, Gujranwala, Mianwali and other adjoining areas.

For Karachi: Mostly partly cloudy with some drizzle like today in different parts of City. Low winds from SW with 10-15 km/h.

Updated 11:20pm (PKT): After India Monsoon reached to Pakistan today as per our forecast, monsoon Rainfall occurred today in Murree, Rawalakot, Mangla, Dir, Islamabad, Mandibahaudin, Muzaffarabad, Rawalpindi, Khuzdar, Sialkot and including other parts of KPK, central Balochistan,  upper & central Punjab. Murree got 65 mm of highest rain in country during last 24 hours, while Karachi got some drizzle during  last night.


According to the latest image, Thunderstorm over in KPK, central Balochistan, upper and central parts of  Punjab. Chances of thunderstorm rain with fast winds in Upper Parts of Pakistan with their intensity "moderate to heavy" including in Upper Punjab (Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore), KPK ( Peshawar, Noshera, Attock) and Kashmir during next 24 hours till 72 hours. No "major developments" looking for Sindh but coastal parts of province including Karachi will get some drizzle during late-night or early morning with low winds however  isolated falls expected in central parts of Balochistan  on tomorrow  .

Update 11:10: Raining in upper Punjab and some parts of KPK including Islamabad and Rawalpindi as we forecast yesturday..!!

Update 11:00 pm (PKT): According to the latest image,Very active monsoon continue in major parts of India including Madhya Pardesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra e.t.c , high level clouds reaching in Thar district and other parts of Pak-India borderline. Dissipating thunderstorm in lower and upper Balochistan, another thunderstorm formed in upper Punjab. 

Mostly hot and dry condition for most parts of the country during till next few days. "Good" chances of 1st monsoon rain with their intensity "moderate to heavy" in Upper Punjab (including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore), KPK (including Peshawar, Noshera) and Kashmir during next 48 hours. No "major developments" looking for Sindh and Balochistan till coming days,  pleasant and partly cloudy condition with low winds expected to continue in Karachi with some drizzle during late night or early morning hours till few days.
