Pre-Monsoon Update - 24 June 2013: 

According to the latest image,Very active monsoon in central India, high level clouds reaching  in Thar near Pak-India borderline.Mostly hot and dry condition for most parts of the country during till few days. Chances of 1st monsoon rain in Upper Punjab (including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore), KPK (including Peshawar, Noshera) and Kashmir during next 48 hours.

Mostly hot and dry condition for most parts of the country during next 24 hours while upper parts of Pakistan including Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan will get some showers after noon or in early morning. Partly cloudy condition with low winds expected in Karachi. Proper Monsoon rainfall expected in central and upper parts of Pakistan from the ending of the month of June or early starting in July.

No major updates, mostly dry expected till few days..!!

Pre-Monsoon Update - 18th June 2013:


Most of the parts of country looking clear and dry according to Latest image. No major Pre-monsoon activity occurred in Pakistan today. Mostly dry condition for Pakistan during next 24 hours.Proper Monsoon rainfall expected in major parts of Pakistan from the ending of the month of June or early starting in July. But most of the LRF showing "less rain in July". Let's wait for further updates here on Pakweather.com

Flooding in India Killed 81 and many are missing: Monsoon in India killed 81 at least people with  ten thousands people are left their homes when early monsoon rains caused flooding and landslides in India. The rains are at least double as widespread heavy as usual in north-west and central parts of India, with the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand the worst hit. Monsoon shower wreaked havoc in northern parts of India leading to urban floods with cloudbursts and landslides.

Update for SindhMostly hot and dry condition for Sindh during next 24 hours while upper parts of Sindh will get some more PM showers. Partly cloudy condition with wind expected in Karachi.

Update for Punjab:Mostly hot and dry condition for Punjab during next 24 hours while light rain expected in isolated parts of central Punjab.

Update for KPK: Chances of Rain shower in some parts of KPK including Peshawar, Nohshera, Mardan during next 24 hours.

Update for Baluchistan: Mosly clear with some cloudy condition expected including Quetta.

Update for Gilgit Baltistan: Moderate  Rain expected at isolated parts of Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir on tomorrow.

Update: According to Latest image,thunderstorm Weakening now over in western and south eastern parts of Sindh after given dust-storm with rain in Larkana and adjoining areas of Thar. Dissipating thunderclouds over in Balochistan and weak in other parts of the country. 

Update for Sindh: Mostly hot and dry condition for Sindh including Karachi during next 24 hours while SE parts of Sindh will get some more showers.

Update for PunjabDuring last 24 hours 102 mm rainfall occurred in Lahore and cause to much damages in city including urban flooding, In next 24 hours mostly cloudy with Isolated moderate to heavy rainfall expected in major parts of Punjab including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot and Gujranwala,while light rain may also occur at isolated place of south Punjab on Tomorrow.

Update for KPK: Rain shower expected in major parts of KPK including Peshawar, Nohshera, Mardan and other parts of KPK till thursday.

Update for Baluchistan: Mosly clear with some cloudy condition expected including Quetta.

Update for Gilgit Baltistan: Moderate to heavy Rain/Snowfall expected in major parts of Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir on tomorrow.

    According to the Latest Satellite image,Very active monsoon system present over the Gujrat coast and other central parts of India with widespread shower.Thunderstorm now over in eastern parts of Sindh is dissipating, thunderstorm Weakening now over in coastal Balochistan and in lower parts of KPK.Heavy rainfall occurred in Upper Punjab today including Lahore and their adjoining parts. 

    In next 24 hours, chances of Scattered shower (moderate to heavy) with fast winds in KPK, upper Punjab, upper Balochistan, Kashmir & Gilgit Baltistan.

    According to Latest image,Thunderstorm Weakening now over Sindh.Intensify thundercloud in Balochistan near 'Kech' and coastal areas. Moderate to heavy dust-thunderstorm/rain occurred in different parts of Punjab‚ KPK‚ Sindh‚ eastern parts of Balochistan and Kashmir during the last 24 hours. 2 people killed, 40 injured in Charsadda (KPK) due to dust storm.

    In next 24 hours, chances of Scattered shower (moderate to heavy) with fast winds  in KPK, upper Punjab, Lower Balochistan, Kashmir & G.B. Slight chances for isolated rain tomorrow in central and southern Sindh.


    Karachi received pre-monsoon rain showers


    The pre-monsoon rain occurred, most parts of city received pre-monsoon rain today turning the weather pleasant. Karachiites movement to the beach to get pleasure from the pleasant weather. Moderate pre-monsoon rain was reported with fast wind in  Sharah-e-Faisal,PECHS, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Steel Town, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, F.B Area, Clifton, Sohrab Goth,  I.I Chundrigar road, North Karachi, Nazimabad and other areas of the city.

    Update 12:15 PM (PKT) : Upper air cyclonic circulation present in the Arabian sea near Sindh and Gujrat coastline. Another low pressure persists in Northern parts of India, Pre-monsoon rains likely from today in Punjab and Eastern parts of Sindh.

    Update 23:30 PM (PKT) : Another thunderstorm formed near Karachi.Lightning occurred today at Eastern side of city,After Lahore, Mailsi, Sialkot, dust storm occurred today in Islamabad and Rawalpindi,Drizzle also occurred today in Thatta. Low pressure near South of Sindh moved toward South Western direction. Another system entered in Pakistan through Kashmir and now present over major parts of Pubjab, KPK and Kashmir.Local thunder clouds caused 8mm rain in Kalat Balochistan.

    Chances of "modreate to heavy" rain with fast winds in major parts of Punjab (including Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot), Sindh (including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukker, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Moro) KPK (including Peshawar, Noshera and Attock) during next 24-36 hours.Widespread rain shower could occur in north of Punjab during next few days.

    Update 09:00 PM (PKT) : Latest Satellite image showing that,Local thundercloud developed in Balochistan near 'Kech', High level clouds reaching in Thar near Pak-India borderline.Active monsoon system present over the many parts of India with widespread shower,Pre-Monsoon rainfall system will enter properly in Pakistan through Gujrat coast (india) to Sindh by tomorrow. Chances of "modreate to heavy" rain in major parts of Sindh (including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukker, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Larkana, Moro) during next 24-48 hours. After that, this premonsoon system would reach to Punjab and other parts of country. (More Update Tomorrow) 


    Pre-Monsoon Update - 9th June 2013:
    According to the latest Satellite image,Local thundercloud developed in Balochistan near 'Kech', raining with thunderstorm in Kalat and it's adjoining parts.High level clouds reaching in Thar near Pak-India borderline.Active monsoon system present over the many parts of India with widespread shower, Monsoon Rain storm downpours with fast gusty winds in Sri Lanka have kills more than 19 people with dozens of missing. Another Upper Air Cyclonic (UAC) circulation present over in Arabian sea. Some chances for pre-mosnoon rain in SE part of Sindh including Thar desert and Badin during next 24 hours.

    Pre-Monsoon Update - 8th June 2013:



    According to the latest image, high level clouds reached today in Thar near Pak-India borderline.Very active monsoon system present over the many parts of Gujrat in India with widespread shower, heavy rainfall occurred today and continue in Rajkot and Gujrat coastline. Another  Upper Air Cyclonic (UAC) circulation present over in Arabian sea.  Good chance for pre-mosnoon rain in SE part of Sindh  including Thar desert and Badin on coming Monday 10th of June.

    Pre-Monsoon Update - 7th June 2013:
    Update 11:05 PM (PKT) : Mostly dry weather prevails. Warm weather persists across the drought-stricken in south Punjab and in upper Sindh, where high temperatures will again approach or reach more than 40°C these areas while partly cloudy with low wind expected in coastal areas of Sindh including Karachi with some light drizzle in early morning from SW passing clouds. 

    According to the latest image, high level clouds reaching to Pak-India border.Very active monsoon system present over the eastern parts of India with widespread shower. Another low pressure formed today in Arabian sea near Gujrat, high chances of heavy shower in Rajkot and Gujrat coastline. No major chance for pre-mosnoon rain in SE part of Sindh  including Thar desert and Badin during next 24 hours.


    Pre-Monsoon Update - 6th June 2013:

    Update 11:30 PM (PKT) : Mostly dry weather prevails. Warm weather persists across the drought-stricken in south Punjab and in upper Sindh, where high temperatures will again approach or reach more than 40°C these areas. Due to Low pressure monsoon become more stronger in most of the parts India including "Indian Punjab" and Bangladesh since morning. More active systems is expected in south Asia during next coming days. 

    As PWF forecasted on 'May 23' here that pre-monsoon rainfall may occur in south Punjab and some eastern parts of Sindh (including Hyderabad, Karachi,Mirpurkhas) from Mid of June.While Monsoon will begin properly from the 1st week of July in Pakistan.

    Pre-Monsoon Update - 5th June 2013:
    Update 9.30 PM (PKT) : Local thunderstorm formed near 'Kech' Balochistan. Low pressure in Arabian sea become weaker after landing with heavy falls in Gulf countries including Oman and U.A.E.Chances of rain in Abu-Dhabi and Dubai during late night. Some weak clouds with dusty winds is present in upper Sindh including Dadu and Larkana divisions.The monsoon line in eastern part of the Bay of Bengal is lagging and therefore northeastern states of India are yet to get monsoon rains. Monsoon showers are now expected to receive it by from Friday evening.

    Pre-Monsoon Update - 4th June 2013:

    Update 9.30 PM (PKT) : As per our yesterday's forecast, first pre-monsoon shower with thunderstorm occurred in Thar desert, Mirpurkhas district, Umerkot district and their adjoining parts after the development of local thunderstorm. High Level Clouds reached towards the coastal parts of Sindh and Balochistan including Karachi today. Low pressure near Omanian coast intensify and may cause heavy fall their during next 2 days.

    Pre-Monsoon Update - 3rd June 2013:
    Update 9.30 PM (PKT) : High-Level Cirro-cumulus and Alto-stratus clouds are reaching now in  South Eastern parts of Sindh from Gujrat and Ahmedabad coast due to Local formation of thunderstorm near Rajkot and Gujrat coastline.Good chances of forming some local thunderstorm near Gujrat tomorrow again and may cause 1st Pre-monsoon light to moderate shower may occur in SE parts of Sindh including Thar Desert and Badin during next 24-48 hours.
