Strong Earthquake in western China, at least 90 dead

A strong earthquake that hitted arid, mountainous rural area in northwest China sparked landslides and destroyed or broken thousands of brick-and-mud homes today (22/7/2013), killing a minimum of 90 and injuring over 450 person.

The strong earthquake close to town of Dingxi in state toppled brick walls and land line phones, shattered mud-and-tile-roofed homes and sent cascades of dirt and rock down hillsides that blocked roads and slowed rescue efforts by crews making an attempt to succeed in remote areas.

Hospitals started aid stations in parking heaps to accommodate giant numbers of harmed people, whereas many paramilitary staff & Armed Police distributed bent on seek for victims within the region of terraced farmland wherever the quake affected regarding one,200 KM west of national capital.
