Heavy Monsoon rains in Rawalpindi and Islamabad trigged flooding in Nala La, submergence low-lying areas in Twin Cities and forcing many of people to go away from their homes for safer places.

Torrential showers on Friday created flood-like condition in numerous cities of Punjab, prompting native authorities to declare rain emergency and begin operation.

In Twin Cities of Islamabad and Pindi, the rain flooded Nala Lai, a rain vale in garrison town of metropolis.

Floodwaters entered Javed Colony, Nadeem Colony, Muslim Colony and other low-lying areas wherever residents left their homes, with Rescue 1122 groups initiating rescue operations to maneuver folks to safer places.

Meanwhile, Islamabad’s Rawal Dam administration opened spillways of the dam to release the rain water. Spillways would expected to remain open for  next six hours.

PWF forecasting new upcoming spell expecting from Aug’13  for southern parts of Punjab and Sindh (including: Karachi, Hyderabad, Moro, Nawabshah, Thar and other parts).
