Karachi Weather History in Review: 25th and 26th August, 2000:

Due to Strong Low pressure passing all the way from Bay of Bengal, Indian State of Andhara Pardesh, Maharashtra then entered Arabian Sea south of Gujarat that caused very hot weather in most of Sindh including Karachi (due to sea breeze cut off and NE hot breeze).

On 25th August maximum temperature in Karachi was 37 and
ON 26th TEMPERATURE REACHED 42˚C AS IT WAS THE HOTTEST DAY EVER I SAW ‘IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST IN KARACHI’.

During those 2 days some parts of interior Sindh received scattered thunder/rain, Karachi had a isolated showers on 25th August afternoon and drizzle on 26th evening and light shower with lightning at night.
