History in Review: 26th to 29th January, 1992:
During those days, most of country had a mostly cloudy, cold and rainy period including Karachi.

On Sunday, 26th January: It was mostly cloudy in Karachi with intermittent drizzle esp in the morning.

Monday, 27th January: Clouds continuing but darkened from the afternoon, it showered from 3 pm then light rain or drizzle continued till Maghrib or just after then, about 3-5 mm rain fell in Nazimabad.

Tuesday, 28th January: Most of the day it remained cloudy with drizzle time to time in most of city during morning to evening.

Wednesday, 29th January: Heavy rain with some lightning/thunder in the early hours i.e. around 4 am hit the city, some shower / drizzle later in the morning, 20 mm recorded at Nazimabad. Later around 4 pm to 8 pm (evening/night) fairly dark clouds came from SW in southern and eastern areas of city, DHA, Clifton, Kornagi, Landhi, Malir etc. had some good light to moderate brief showers during that period but no amount was confirmed. Other areas remained mostly dry but cloudy. Rain also reported in large area of interior Sindh on that day. On the next day i.e. Thursday, 30th January Karachi had a sunny & cool day. During the period many upper areas of country received over 100 mm of rain and snow on hilly areas.
