Climate of Karachi and Weather Conditions

KARACHI THE CITY OF LIGHTS
Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan which situated in southeastern part of the country. Karachi city has an important industrial area and port ( Port Qasim ) on the coast of Arabian Sea. About 3,527 km² areas, it can covers and mostly comprises flat or rolling plains with hills on the western and northern boundaries of the urban sprawl. The River Malir and River Lyari are the two rivers flow through the city. The Karachi Harbor is situated on the south-west part of the city.
KARACHI IS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CITIES
The climate of Karachi is very different in the whole country of Pakistan. In Karachi city, the climate of Karachi features an arid climate, albeit a moderate version of this climate. Karachi has a relatively mild climate because it located on the coast area. It has two main seasons like the summer season & the winter season, while spring and autumn are very short time expand in Karachi. The summer season of Karachi is persists for longest period during the whole year, and the level of precipitation is low for most of the parts of the year. Due to the inversion layer, Karachi receives less precipitation in summer season. 

MONSOON OF KARACHI
Karachi city also enjoys a tropical climate encompassing mild winters and warm summers. It also receives the monsoon rains from the month of July to the month of September. The level of humidity is usually remains high in the month of March to the month of November and very low in winter. Wind direction in winter season is North Easterly. The summer temperatures from Karachi in the end of April to the end of August are around 30°C or 86°F to 36°C or 97°F.



KARACHI IN FRONT OF ARABIAN SEA
As the city is located on the seaside of Arabian therefore sea it tends to have a fair climate due to marine affects. The normal rainfall of the city is around 7 inches per annum. On the other hand, the city experiences bulkiness precipitation during the monsoon season in July and August. Summers are scorching in the city, with May-June, its being the hottest months of the year, when temperatures often reach the 43°C mark.  

WINTERS OF KARACHI
In the winter months from November to the March are the best time to visit Karachi. During the month of December, most of the visitors, expatriates, and tourists are come in to the Karachi. January is the coldest month with temperature as low as 5°C. In winter season are the best time to visit the Karachi city and December, January, and July have a pleasing weather when most of the social events frequently take place in the city.
