Rain intensity to increase over Pakistan From Last Week of August








KARACHI ARE YOU READY AGAIN FOR FRESH SPELL?
Note: Upcoming Spell may cause Urban Flooding in Karachi city..
MONSOON DEVELOPMENTS (DETAIL):
Another Monsoon spell will approach from Bay of Bengal to central India this Sunday, fresh spell will gradually intensify and may cause heavy to very heavy downpour over Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Ahmedabad & Gujrat State.
By coming Wednesday, the intensity of rains will increase significantly over Sindh (incl. Karachi & Hyderabad), South Punjab & various parts of Baluchistan till weekends. On the other hand we are expecting wet days in most central, upper & southern parts of Pakistan during the Islamic Festival of Eid-ul-Adha.

Heavy rainfall is expecting during Wednesday-Friday from upcoming Fresh Monsoon Spell, which may be accompanied by strong winds. These downpours might cause urban flooding due to bad drainage & sewage system in Metropolitan city, we are advising early to the #Karachiites to take extra precautions during thunderstorm. FRESH MONSOON UPDATES & DEVELOPMENTS (Updated 29-Aug-17 12:00AM PKT):
Monsoon is intensifying over Maharashtra & South Gujarat - India due to low pressure, Heavy to very heavy rain showers reported from these Indian states including Goa & other coastal areas.

EXPECTATIONS FOR KARACHI:
In next 24 to 48 hours, rainfall intensity is expected to increase over most parts of the #Sindh including Karachi & Hyderabad.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
As per latest satellite image, strong high level clouds are reaching Sindh & #Karachi, there have been some reports of rain shower from Tando Allahyar & Mirpurkhas from local developments.

HEAT ALERT FOR KARACHI & OTHER PARTS OF SINDH:
Due to this system temperatures at present have increase up to 40°C in #Karachi tomoroow. As of now, maximum temperatures over most parts of #Sindh are settling in the range of 40°C to 45°. (Updated 29-Aug-17 12:00AM PKT)
