Pakistan Winter Weather Update/Overview/Cold Wave & Rain Forecast (21-January-2018)

As we have been tracking this Disturbance for a week almost and even less than a day is left in its arrival to Pakistan via Baluchistan, so the time has come to issued a mature forecast regarding effects that we could experience from tomorrow!

Western Disturbance had started to form over higher latitude of Turkey (north of Mediterranean sea) around Thursday night which had already been precipitated heavy Rain and Snow all the way where it could have impact from Turkey till Iraq and now have been affecting central Iran.

SINDH & BALUCHISTAN WEATHER FORECAST:

Sunday’s evening/night would be important for the Baluchistan and Sindh region as the Westerly Wave is expected to initiate its effects in the form of Thunderstorm-Rain with Snowfall over higher Mountains of Baluchistan are likely to happen!

We are expecting some meaningful Rain-Showers over isolated to scattered parts of Baluchistan Sunday’s evening/night into Monday while some light shower over Coastal Belt.

KARACHI WEATHER FORECAST:

No meaningful Rain is in sight for Karachi during next 2 Days, expecting partly cloudy skies. (chances for rain in Karachi is just around 20% as per latest models and analysis).

PUNJAB/KPK & GILGIT BALTISTAN WEATHER FORECAST:

Furthermore; mainly, the isolated parts of Southern, Eastern and Northern Punjab are likely to receive some Drizzle/Rain-Showers probably from evening/night of Monday into early/late Tuesday while isolated places of KPK, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to get the some Rain during the same time-span.

Some light Snowfall is expected over the higher Mountainous range of above mentioned provinces while Murree, Galiyat and its surroundings may also see some/few light Rain and Snow from late Monday into late Tuesday!
