TROPICAL UPDATE – 01:
As we stated earlier in our Tropical News update that we are tracking a tropical activity in Arabian Sea, We are beginning our series from this update,
A Disturbance that was present at east of Sri Lanka in Bay of Bengal has moved into Southeastern Arabian Sea and now it is moving in Northwestern Direction.
Due to fairly Warm SSTs (Sea Surface Temperatures) of 28 – 29°C and low Vertical Wind Shear of (5 – 10 knots) and Good moisture inflow, Satellite Loop reveals that Disturbance has intensified into a Low Pressure,
Strong Divergence rate, Good atmospheric conditions and rapid formation of Thunderstorms and banding of structure suggest that this Area of Low Pressure/Well- marked may intensify into a DEPRESSION OR TROPICAL STORM within next 24 – 36 Hours.
MAXIMUM WINDS: 27 – 30 km/hr
MIN PRESSURE AT CENTER: 1010 mb.
