As you all know that one of its kind strong western low pressure system has started to affect Pakistan, what makes this WESTERN_DISTURBANCE unique is it’s strong intensity and incursion of moisture ladden winds from Arabian sea and BoB (Bay of Bengal).

Under WD’s influence HEAVY_RAINS and strong THUNDERSTORMS are expected to affect twin Cities during next 4 days (Sunday into Wednesday), Spell would officially start producing meaningful effects on twin cities from Afternoon today. Western Disturbance effects on twin cities would be on peak from Monday evening till Tuesday morning (late), during this period Islamabad and Rawalpindi have best chances to receive thunderstorms. Overall (55-85mm +/- 15mm error) rainfall accumulation is expected in twin cities while isolated areas in east/northeast of Islamabad and Rawalpindi may see rainfall accumulation touching 100mm.

Thunderstorms would be capable of producing strong cloud to ground lightning strikes while few thunderstorms may also produce GUSTY_WINDS  with gusts between (45-60km/hr +/- 15kmhr error). Maximum temperature would remain under 12-15°C while minimum temperature in ISLAMABAD would remain under 3-5°C while, 4-6°C in RAWALPINDI.
